By now you have probably heard about the new bareMinerals Bareskin Pure Brightening Serum Foundation, right? If not, that’s ok because I’ve got the info!
This new foundation ($29.00 for 1 oz) is a liquid foundation but is made differently than most. It’s made without oil, silicone, water, parabens or fragrance. It’s thin, light-weight and has all kinds of good ingredients for your skin inside including jojoba coated minerals, vitamin C and lilac plant stem cells. It helps to correct the tone of skin as well as brighten.
It comes in 20 shades (cool, neutral and warm) and each bottle matches the shade inside, which helps you find the correct color for you. It’s also got a non-chemical broad spectrum SPF of 20 inside and it’s hypoallergenic and non-comedogenic to boot!
Another way it’s different from other foundations I’ve tried is that it has a dropper opening. You can adjust the coverage with how many drops you use. Two drops for sheer coverage. Four drops for medium coverage and six drops for full coverage.
You don’t have to get the Bareskin Perfecting Face Brush ($28.00) but it is pretty nice. You just shake the foundation up really well then put the drops directly onto the brush in the little hole area. Then apply it to your face in circular motions.
The brush is very soft and dense, and it does a great job of blending the product in without leaving any streaks or obvious lines.
This is Bare Linen, which is the third lightest shade and a neutral tone. It matches my skin very nicely.
Here I am wearing Bare Linen with just two or three drops, so it gives me a lighter coverage. I don’t have any face primer on here, just SPF moisturizer underneath.
I’ve been wearing this foundation quite a lot lately (both as a sheer and medium coverage) and really like it. It does a great job of hiding imperfections that I want covered, even with a lighter coat. It never looks too heavy and never gets oily even on my t-zone.
I haven’t had any breakouts whatsoever and it feels really light and comfortable on my skin. In fact it pretty much feels like I don’t have anything but moisturizer on. I have heard some people say it seems to wear off by the end of the day to where it isn’t even there anymore. I haven’t experienced this personally, it lasts on me for a full 8-10 hours so far.
Have I piqued your interest in this or are you passing?
