I may be late to the game but today I’ve got some MAC Patentpolish Lip Pencil swatches for you.
Truth be told I have been sitting on these for a couple weeks. I don’t know why but they just didn’t seem all that interesting to me! I kept thinking “I need to swatch these, I need to swatch these” but then other, more fun items would come in and I would forget about them. But now I am kind of kicking myself because they are pretty darn cool!
These pencils are a blend of creamy emollients, which helps the product glide on and stay smooth. They feel very light, more like a lip balm than anything else. They have zero stickiness to them and a nice shine. You never need to sharpen them as they have a twist-up feature. They are available in 12 shades but only until mid-May!
Revved Up is a soft light peach with golden shimmer.
Kittenish is a medium mauve pink.
Hopelessly Devoted is a bright fuchsia pink.
Berry Bold is a vivid orange-y/red.
Sultana is a deep grape.
Overall: Ok what the heck was I thinking in waiting so long? I love the texture of these because they are hydrating, light, non-sticky and very comfortable to wear. I love the shine they give off and they are nicely pigmented as well. Applying them is fun also because it’s like using a big fat crayon to draw on your lips. My favorite shades here are Hopelessly Devoted and Kittenish.
Availability: MAC now until mid-May or while supplies last.
Pricing: $20.00 for 0.08 oz.
Have you or will you be picking any of these up?
