I trust you are settling into your week after hopefully a wonderful weekend? I know I ate way too much and am back on the wagon, so to speak. NO MORE WHITE CARBS FOR ME! Oy.
So today I’ve got the JINsoon S/S 2014 Color Field Collection for you. This collection was inspired by the fashion and art fads of the 1950’s.
Poodle skirts, beachy bikinis and polka dots were the mode du jour, as teenagers cuffed their jeans and discovered rock ‘n roll. On the other end of the spectrum, abstract expressionist painters were developing a new style of painting known as “Color Field,” which involved employing large, consistent fields of flat, solid color to express true emotion. “Once I perfect the colors, I immediately thought of creating accompanying JINsoon Toppings in-what else?-polka dots!”
So stay tuned for the dots swatches soon!
Cherry Berry is a bright berry red creme. This one isn’t a bright classic red, you can definitely see the deeper berry tones in it. It’s very shiny and just two coats.
Kookie White is an off-white creme with touches of grey and blue. I am completely infatuated with this shade and do not have anything like it. It’s not white, it’s not grey. It’s a very unique shade and had an excellent formula. This is two coats.
Cool Blue is a bright cerulean blue creme. It’s so rich, bright and gorgeous. Another great formula, this was just two coats.
Pop Orange is a hot orange creme. Great vivid orange for the summer and this was just two coats.
Dolly Pink is a pale blush pink creme. This one did require three thinner coats for me to get the best coverage.
Overall: I think these have a really great formula and I am impressed that most were just two coats for great coverage. The shades Cool Blue and Kookie White are my personal faves. I think Kookie White is really unique.
See anything here you are loving?
