New at Walmart stores near you (and online) is the Hard Candy Single & Loving It Eye Shadow range.
These new eye shadows have a multi-color tie-dye effect. Each one comes with three different shades inside, which you can (supposedly) use separately or blend together. They come in six shades and retail for $3.00 each.
These remind me a lot of the Stila Countless Colour Pigments, which I reviewed awhile back. I think basically these are a less expensive version of those actually. Even the packaging, aside from the shape, is very similar.
Oink! has pale pink, light tan and off-white colors. Combined it makes a light, shimmery pink/champagne shade.
Sweet Sorbet has purple, medium pink and light pink colors. Combined it makes a pale shimmery pink shade.
World Peace has deep blue, light blue and bright green shades. Combined you get a medium metallic blue shade.
Low Rise Jeans has medium blue, light pink and purple colors. Combined you get a medium cornflower-like shade. This is the one with the least shimmer in it.
Grape Dane has deep purple, medium purple and lilac colors with silver glitter. Combined you get a light glittery purple.
These are really pretty to look at of course and combined all the shades are nice. I don’t really see how one would be able to use them and keep them as completely separate colors though because the compacts are rather small, and some of the color spots can be really tiny – too tiny to put a brush into. They do feel soft and have a somewhat light but nice pigmentation. They are definitely on the more subtle side of color though. I am particularly fond of the way Low Rise Jeans and Grape Dane look. Note: The one shade I don’t have is called Sandy Beach and its colors are deep brown, medium gold and a light tan shade.
Are you interested in trying these out at all? Did you pick up any of the similar Stila ones?
