Welcome to the wonderful world of Orly Blush for spring 2014.
This collection features six new soft, delicate shades including cremes, shimmers and a pearl. It’s kind of a nice change of pace from the usual bright shades or pastels we have seen a lot of for spring. The shimmery shades here are particularly gorgeous.
As far as formula things were pretty darn good. I only used two coats for most of the shades, and no other issues came up while applying them.
Naked Canvas is a soft nude with pink a pearly shimmer running throughout. It’s a very soft shade, but after three coats it’s rather nice. I do have some slight patchiness going on with my nails because I didn’t use a nail ridge filler in these photos.
Dare To Bare is a very light taupe creme. This taupe leans towards the pink side. This was two coats.
Flawless Flush is a very light lilac with gold shimmer. This is such a great shade. I love the combination of the very pale purple with the gold. I don’t think I have another color quite like it. This was two coats.
Cheeky is a medium peach with heavy gold shimmer. Another really awesome shade. Loving the peach shade and I really love the heavy gold in it. This was two coats.
First Blush is a medium strawberry pink creme. This is a nice shade and it had a great formula, but it’s not that unique. This was two coats.
Classic Contours is a medium mauve creme. Meh. But that’s just my personal opinion. I am not a huge mauve fan. Nice formula though and it covered in two coats.
Overall: For me the most interesting ones were the shimmery colors – Flawless Flush and Cheeky. The others didn’t feel as unique to me. Orly does usually have a really great formula though, so that is a bonus for all these shades.
