Ready to go on a tropical vacation with the Lise Watier Eden Tropical Summer 2014 Collection? I know I am!
This new limited edition collection features a bevy of beautiful products. From eyes to face to nails to lips, it’s got you covered.
Both the eyeshadow and bronzing palettes are covered with a really pretty tropical flower print. I take one look at it and am immediately transported to the jungle side of Kauai. I went there a couple times as a kid and one of the only things I remember is the dense, heavy, lush trees all over and the huge, colorful flowers. Oh, I also remember seeing some REALLY creepy looking spiders, but we won’t get into that here.
Eden Tropical Bronzing Powder is one of those ‘works of makeup art’ that you almost hate to use because it’s so pretty! The inside of the bronzer is a soft peach blush. The outside area is a light shimmery bronzer shade. You could use them alone or together. They have a very soft pigmentation, which is great for fair folks!
Eden Tropical Eyeshadow Palette features six light shimmery shades. These shadows have a creamy feel to them, but they are in fact powders. There aren’t any shadow names though.
First is a pale greenish white.
Next is a light magenta pink.
Third is a deep bronze.
On this side first is a deep moss green.
Second is a light coppery/gold.
And finally we have a medium aqua blue.
Ombre Souffle Supreme in Tinker Bell (not limited edition) is a pale, shimmery green. This stuff is SO squishy and fun to touch! It’s like a sponge texture but dries to a powder finish. There are four shades in all.
Blush Creme Satin is a soft creamy blush in a glass pot. I am completely 100% in love with the Rose Eden shade. This is my go-to pink shade, and it’s nicely saturated. The other shade is called Coral Paradise and it’s a medium coral.
24 HRS Gel Liner comes in a jet Black color. It comes in a very small little pot and has a really nice creamy formula. Once it sets after a little bit it stays on very nicely. I have yet to try it on my waterline though.
Hydra Kiss Colour Balm in Rose Eden is a light pink shade. These balms have a retractable tip and a light texture. They are nicely glossy and hydrating. The other shade is Coral Paradise and it’s a bright coral.
Nail Polish in Rose Eden is a bright pink, bordering on purple. It has a creme finish and covers completely in two coats. The other shade in the line is Coral Paradise, a bright coral creme. One interesting thing about this nail polish is the cap has a little button where if you push it, a light comes on. I guess so you can apply it in the dark, haha!
Overall: Very solid collection here. I like the look of the palettes and the shades inside the eyeshadow palette are very pretty and user friendly. They aren’t incredibly pigmented, but have a softer look. I looooove the Creme Blush, it’s just a fabulous shade and texture and know I will be wearing it a ton. The 24 HRS liner is a great liner, but I have yet to do a full test on wearability. The Colour Balm feels very nice on the lips and I like the fat, twist-up style pencil. It’s a light shade, but still obvious that I am wearing something on my lips. The nail polish shade is pretty and bright, and would make a great pedicure shade I think. The Ombre Souffle shade is pretty but I am more interested in the actual texture than the color. I just want to play with it all day!
