FingerPaints Pastel Rain for spring 2014 is a new, limited edition collection now available at a local Sally’s Beauty Supply near you. This collection features three pastel creme shades and three matching glittery toppers. You could go for a tone-on-tone look or mix them up.
The cremes are on the thicker side, so you will only need two coats to cover. I did notice they tended to flood the brush so make sure you wipe off A LOT of the product before you apply it. The glitters all have different sizes, types and colors of glitter in them, all with iridescent pieces tossed in for extra sparkle. They applied easily with one coat and I didn’t really have any problems with them.
Springtime Bloom is a light pink pastel creme.
A Pink of Pixie features medium and small pink hex glitter, a sparse amount of pink bar glitter and small iridescent glitter in a clear base. This is one coat over Springtime Bloom.
Mistful Thinking is a vivid lime green creme.
Shower With Flowers features small and medium green hex glitter, sparse pieces of green bar glitter and small iridescent glitter. This is one coat over Mistful Thinking.
Dream I Can Fly is a pastel sky blue creme.
Crystal Springs is a little different than the other two glitters. I showed it slightly blurry here because you can see it better that way. It has shards of iridescent silver glitter, small blue and small iridescent glitter pieces. The shards are all different sizes and shapes, and they were a little harder to get on the nail in an even pattern compared to the other two glitters. This is one coat over Dream I Can Fly.
Overall: I like the pastel cremes but am not sure any of them are that unique. I do have to say that Mistful Thinking is gorgeous though, and it’s my favorite one. The glitters apply easily for the most part and they do go nicely with the cremes.
