Laura Mercier has thirteen new Lip Glace shades this spring, which makes for a total of twenty-six shades in the line now!
These glosses give you a super shiny, nicely pigmented look. They are totally non-sticky and have a nice vanilla-ish scent and taste. They have a soft sponge-tip applicator.
Also included in this review is one of the two new Rouge Nouveau Weightless Lip Colours which are included in their Spring Renaissance collection. They come in seventeen shades total, have a wax-free formula and a very light texture. They come in three finishes and each shade name starts with the letter of the type of finish. For instance I have “Pure” today and that has a “pearl” finish. The other finishes are matte and sheer.
Pure is a light bronze with a pearl finish.
Pink Pop is a light candy-colored pink.
Tulip is a rose pink.
Overall: I really like the Lip Glace’s, especially if I am looking for a high-shine finish with a lighter color impact. They are on the medium side as far as pigmentation. They feel really nice on the lips but do settle into lip lines a little bit. Obviously this is more apparant in huge blown up photos than in real life. I like the texture and feel of Pure, but the color itself doesn’t work for me.
Pricing: $25.00 each.
