Milani Power Lip Lasting & Moisturizing Gloss Stain for spring 2014 are soon to be released and trust me, you will want to check them out in person.
These gloss stains come in seven shades and in a small, twist-up tube. They feature a brush applicator that is easy to use and works nicely. They are high shine, moisturizing and very pigmented.
I’m always a bit apprehensive with these twist-up brush glosses because it seems a lot of the time you are twisting for an eternity before any product comes out. Then it either comes rushing out in huge globs or you barely can get any. These worked much better than say the Stila ones have for me. It wasn’t TOO many twists and I didn’t get too much product out when it did come out. And I have to say, I am blown away by the pigmentation and pretty shades here.
Red Control is a deep, classic red with subtle shimmer.
Cabaret Blend is a dark wine red with subtle shimmer.
Raspberry Tart is a medium/deep mauve with subtle shimmer.
Pink Lemonade is a bright pink/red with subtle shimmer.
Macaroon is a medium rose pink with subtle shimmer.
Strawberry Sugar is a pale pink.
Mango Tango is a vivid mango orange with subtle shimmer.
Creamy Cafe is a medium tan/nude.
Overall: I am really impressed with these, especially because I was thinking they were going to be sheer for some reason. They are very shiny, easy to use and really pigmented. They feel super comfy and non-sticky on the lips and have no scent or taste. The only one I had any formula issues with was Strawberry Sugar, which immediately settled into lip lines and just doesn’t look so hot. I absolutely adore all the other shades, but my favorites have to be Red Control, Raspberry Tart, Pink Lemonade and Mango Tango. Great stuff, so happy they came out with these!
