More new spring goodies for you today!
This time I’ve got the Milani Brow & Eye Highlighters. These duo pencils come in three shades (01, 02 & 03) and can be used in three ways: As a highlighter, as a brightener or even as an eyeshadow. They contain light diffusing pigments to visually “lift” the eye, which is a good thing. As I age I need all the lifting I can get! 😉
Creamy and blend-able are two words that come to mind when I first swatched these. They won’t drag or pull your skin and you can easily draw a line under your brow arch, then blend it out with a finger. They sharpen with the Milani Duo Pencil Sharpener, or any other fat pencil sharpener you might have on hand.
01 has Matte Beige, a pale yellow/beige, and High Glow, a light shimmery champagne.
02 has Matte Cream, a light peachy cream, and Luminous Lift, a light shimmery pink.
03 has Vanilla, a light vanilla shade, and Natural Taupe, a medium taupe matte.
Overall: I found that the matte shades were creamier in texture and more pigmented than the two shimmery ones. I really like these for a brow highlight because they are so easy to use and do a nice job of blending out so they don’t look too obvious. I prefer no shimmer or extremely subtle shimmer under my brow bone, so these fit the bill nicely. I would definitely wear 03 as an eyeshadow also!
