Gwen Stefani for OPI is the latest collection from the brand and it features seven limited edition shades.
I have five of the seven shades here. The ones not shown are Over & Over A-Gwen, which is a classic red creme and sold only in a boxed set with Swarovski crystals, and Push and Shove. Push and Shove comes with a special base coat called Lay Down that Base, which gives Push and Shove a mirror-like finish.
A couple of these have a special semi-matte satin finish that you don’t use a base coat with. I found the formula to be really nice with all of these. Most were just two coats, one was three.
Love. Angel. Music. Baby is a medium shimmery gold with a semi-matte satin finish. This was two coats.
Hey Baby is a bright pink creme. Pretty, vivid color, but perhaps not unique. This was two coats.
4 in the Morning is a black with silver shimmer and it has the semi-matte satin finish. This is two coats.
In True Stefani Fashion is a glittery silver in a clear base with holo glitter. This is shown over 4 in the Morning. I got great coverage with just one coat but I did two here. Nice glitter, everything came out evenly and easily.
I Sing in Color is a deep vampy red creme. This one took three coats for me to get it completely even.
Overall: The formula worked pretty nicely with all the ones I tried out, although I’m not sure the colors themselves are anything unique. I do really like the semi-matte satin finish of Love. Angel. Music. Baby and 4 in the Morning. Those two were my personal favorites.
Availability: These are out now at stores but are limited edition.
