Contrary Polish On the Rocks is a new six-piece collection featuring colors inspired by various minerals.
Contrary Polish has such deep shades I just love all the combinations they keep coming up with! These all seem to have a jelly-like base and each one features a few different shades of shimmer within. Because they have a jelly finish they are a little thick and I used three thinner coats for complete coverage for all. Work slowly so they don’t get glooped up!
Almandine is a deep red with gold to green color shifting shimmer.
Dioptase is a blue/green with old gold to green color shifting shimmer.
Fluorite is a blurple with green to pink color shifting shimmer.
Graphite is a murky grey with gold, pink, silver and grey micro-glitter.
Obsidian is a deep purple/black with blue/green color shifting glitter that changes to pink/purple.
Tiger’s Eye is a bronze with gold and red shimmer.
Overall: Such pretty shades here. I like each of the shades but especially love the depth and color of Obsidian and Tiger’s Eye. As I mentioned earlier, when you apply these go slowly and as evenly as you can. They tend to want to pool and/or create bald spots if you work too quickly or put too thick of a coat on.
