bareMinerals Degrees Of Dazzling for holiday 2013 might just be *the* perfect gift for someone you know, or yourself!
This super cool set of eyecolors comes in a long tube packed with twenty shades. Ten of the shades are new ones. There are four finishes including High Shine, Glimmer, Velvet Matte and Liner Shadows. The colors range from easy to wear neutrals to super pigmented brights to deep smoky shades, which can double as liners.
Each shade is contained in a little plastic tub with a shaker style opening. They are very lightweight and fairly non-messy because the shaker doesn’t let too much product out at once.
I decided to try swatching them with no primer to see how pigmented and smooth they were. The results are pretty darn amazing! Nearly every single one was so smooth, creamy and intense. Just a couple deep mattes gave me some issues. Some of them are so amazingly creamy they almost felt like wet creams rather than powders.
Overall: These kind of blew me away, especially considering I didn’t use a primer. All of the Velvet Matte shades were really soft, nicely pigmented and pretty. I especially love Velvet Mauve and Velvet Charcoal. The Glimmer Eyecolors were a little less pigmented and felt a bit more gritty since they have micro-glitter. They are definitely more prone to fallout as well because of those teeny glitter pieces. The High Shine Eyecolors were amazing! Super pigmented, metallic and they feel almost like creams. The Liner Shadows were either great or not so much. Toasted Espresso and Yoga are fantastic. I can’t get over how gorgeous and deep Yoga is. Lagoon and Black Leather, which are mattes, were rather patchy without a primer. Starry Night was kind of in the middle being a little patchy, but it’s a really pretty shade nonetheless.
