Ladies and gents do I have a cool palette for you today in the bareMinerals The Mix Master Convertible Eyeshadow Palette for holiday 2013.
Upon first glance it seems like just another cool palette decorated with a black matte and glossy pattern. But look closer. Doesn’t it look like something might pop out? Indeed it does!
This palette includes twelve base, crease and liner shades and get this, a pop-out READY-to-go compact that you can put any three shades into. Each of the twelve shades inside easily pop out and you can just insert them in the compact, which also includes a mirror and dual-ended brush. So cool.
Stealth is a light peach with sheen.
Daydream is a beige matte.
Embellish is a glittery khaki green. Nicely pigmented and very soft.
Perspective is a deep chocolate brown with sparkles. Pigmented and nice texture.
Panorama is a very pigmented deep blue with sparkles.
Maven is a deep navy blue matte. This was really uneven for some reason.
In Vogue is a medium royal purple with sparkles. Nice shade and payoff.
Custom Made is an icy pink/peach.
Hot Commodity is an intense gold/copper with nice payoff.
Max Volume is a rich and intense emerald green with sheen. Pretty!
Muse is a light pink with sheen.
Mixologist is a pale champagne with sheen.
Overall: There are some really nice shades in this palette. I really like the idea behind this design. Love the pop-out aspect of the inner compact and all the shades. The one drawback is that the shadows are a little bit unstable inside the larger palette because they pop out so easily. They won’t fall out or anything, but if you lift the palette up from the bottom, you have to be careful not to accidentally pop one of them out.
What do you think about these shades and this kind of palette? Is this something you would buy?
