Hello and welcome to the Wet n Wild Holiday Spotlight Eyeshadow Collection for 2013!
This collection features three limited edition Color Icon Eyeshadow Palettes including Lights, Camera, Attraction, No Neutral Ground and A Great Glistener (not shown because mine arrived broken).
These palettes each contain three shimmer overcoats for the browbone (top row), three pearl powders for your eyelid (middle row) and two matte definers for the eye line (bottom row). You can use them however you wish though!
No Neutral Ground
No Neutral Ground top row (over primer)
First is a shimmery mauve pink shade.
Second is a shimmery icy white.
Third is a shimmery cool gold.
Because these are super shimmery they do tend to be prone to fallout, so use carefully.
No Neutral Ground middle and bottom rows (over primer)
Middle row – First is a grape purple pearl.
Middle row – Second is a medium golden taupe pearl.
Middle row – Third is a moss green pearl.
Bottom row – First is a deep chocolate brown matte.
Bottom row – Second is a dark emerald green matte with slight shimmer.
These are all super soft shades and I was really impressed with the feel of them and the color payoff. I was especially impressed with the two matte shades, which I half expected to be a chalky mess. Really nice palette!
Lights, Camera, Attraction
Lights, Camera, Attraction top row (over primer)
First is a shimmery silver.
Second is a shimmery pink.
Third is a pale lavender.
Lights, Camera, Attraction middle and bottom rows (over primer)
Middle row – First is a bright blue pearl.
Middle row – Second is a medium pink pearl.
Middle row – Third is a lilac pearl.
Bottom row – First is a deep navy blue matte.
Bottom row – Second is a deep purple matte.
The pearl shades here were soft and had good payoff. The two matte shades didn’t have as nice a texture and payoff as the No Neutral Ground ones did. These were a little more patchy and harder to get as even looking.
Overall: I think the No Neutral Ground palette is the one to get of these two. The colors are nice, the texture is great and the payoff is excellent. One thing to note is that these shadows are so soft they tend to crumble really easily to be careful when transporting them!
Availability: Limited edition at drug stores now (or soon).
What do you think of these two? Will you be stalking your local stores trying to get your paws on any of them?
