Makeup lovers and iPhone lovers might possibly fall in love with the new Too Faced Jingle all the Way Pop-Out Makeup Palette and Phone Case for holiday 2013, exclusive to Sephora.
So what’s the dealio with this product? It’s an actual eye shadow/blush/bronzer palette that pops out of the case it comes in, which is also a plastic pink and gold chevron print iPhone 5 case! The case was designed by celebrity decorator and TV personality Mary McDonald.
The palette itself includes eleven eye shadows, a blush and a bronzer. The clear plastic lid opens up kind of like a flip phone. The eye shadows and other items all look like phone buttons. So cute!
The main eleven eye shadows are in super small squares. All these are shimmery or metallic shades.
And then below those little ones are some larger matte eye shadows, a bronzer and a blush.
First six eye shadows (over primer)
First is a black matte with light blue sparkles.
Second is a pale shimmery champagne.
Third is a metallic bronze.
Fourth is a metallic gold/taupe.
Fifth is a metallic pale pink.
Sixth is a lavender with sparkles.
Final three small eye shadows and two mattes (over primer)
Seventh is a metallic gold/copper.
Eighth is a chocolate brown with gold sparkles.
Ninth is a deep blue with gold and blue sparkles.
Tenth is a matte vanilla.
Eleventh is a pale matte tan.
The Bronzer is a light golden shimmery shade.
The Blush is a candy-colored pink with fine golden shimmer.
Overall: I really love the design of this because I haven’t seen anything quite like it. Very cute idea. Having said that, I wouldn’t use this iPhone case on a regular basis because it’s very thin plastic and more for decoration than protection. I tend to use heavier, thicker cases which will keep cracks from happening if I drop it.
The shades in the palette are nice and had pretty nice payoff. The nine smaller squares are really quite small though, so it can be hard to get a brush inside them. I think this makes a really cute stocking stuffer though!
Availability: Sephora only.
Pricing: $25.00 (retail value of $96).
What do we think about this? Would you buy it for yourself or as a gift?
