Listen up makeup brush fanatics! The Make Up For Ever Artisan Brush Collection is new this fall and contains seventy six new synthetic fiber brushes. Yeah you heard me seventy six new brushes! Surely that must tempt even those who aren’t legit brush fanatics, right?
The collection ranges from everyday brushes to customized ones for super detailed effects. Creator & Artistic Director Dany Sanz spent five years perfecting these brushes. Each brush involved 25 stages and was hand-crafted by 30 people from beginning to end!
These brushes are different because they have a synthetic fiber technology that comes in different diameters and types: wavy or straight. With straight fibers you get more of a generous and precise application. When fibers are wavy, you get a lighter and more free application.
The handles are made with a beveled end and are made from beautiful beech wood with a gunmetal ferrule.
The collection is classified by a number system which helps differentiate them all:
- 100s = complexion
- 200s = eyes
- 300s = lips
- 400s = artistic designed for professionals

I’ve been using some of these in recent days and am very pleased with the results. I love a brush that can apply a ton of color in one fell swoop and so the 244 brush is great for me (and anyone else who might be lazy).
The 270 Angled Eyebrow Brush is a little different for me because I’m used to one that is slightly larger for brows. However I do like that it’s very precise and easy to control.
142 and 152 are both excellent and super soft.
The 304 Lip Brush with Cap is most excellent as well. I’m always looking for a good lip brush that is small and light so I can take it with me when I’m wearing a more “difficult” shade like red, and this one is perfect.
