To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Broadway musical I give you the Deborah Lippmann Wicked Nail Lacquer Trio.
This limited edition set includes three shades inspired by the land of Oz. Each shade is named after a song, like her other nail lacquers are. Popular was inspired by Glinda. Defying Gravity was inspired by Elphaba. One Short Day was inspired by The Emerald City.
I read this book when it came out along with the others by Gregory Maguire, but must admit, I have never seen the play. I’ve heard only excellent things though.
The formula was good with all of these, though I did use three coats with two of them.
Popular is a shimmery pink. It starts off rather sheer but after three thin coats covers completely. Perfect shade for Glinda I think.
Defying Gravity is a beautiful green creme, which is supposed to mimic the shade of Elphaba’s skin. I love this shade and this was three thin coats.
One Short Day is an emerald glitter, which is perfect to represent The Emerald City, of course! This was two coats.
Overall: I think this set is really cute and I especially like shades Defying Gravity and One Short Day.
Pricing: $29.00 (bottles are .27 oz each).
