New and exclusive to Ulta (and UD online) is Urban Decay Naked Illuminated Shimmering Powder for Face and Body.
This new powder has a soft microfine texture, light-reflecting particles and gives you a soft golden/beige glow. You know how they bake their Baked Bronzer on a terracotta disc for 24 hours? Well they do the same thing for this pressed powder. It helps give it a softer nice shimmer rather than a harsh metallic type look.
It comes in a really pretty two-tiered rose gold box with a suede-like texture. Inside the top layer you’ll find the powder and a mirror. In the bottom compartment you’ll find a really soft applicator brush.
As you can see it’s a light golden/beige shimmer. It’s really very soft and very easy to pick up a lot of shimmer with one swipe. Because it’s so soft it can get a little messy if you are wanting to keep it “confined” to one area of your face or body. It does fallout a bit. It feels really silky and smooth, no grit whatsoever.
Overall: The box is really pretty and extremely lightweight, which is great for travel. The powder itself is a soft nice shade and it’s easy to get a shimmery look. For me personally these kind of shimmery products scare me a little. I definitely don’t want to be highlighting any fine lines on my face and I wouldn’t use it on my body because that’s just not how I roll. But that’s just a personal preference!
Ok now I want to know if you would use this on your face or body. Do you feel it’s “too much” or “just right”?
