Happy Labor Day (if you are in the US)!
The Orly Surreal Collection for fall 2013 features six news shades with various finishes and is all about obscuring the line between real and virtual, the ethereal and magical, the eclectic and the unexpected. Whatever that means. Sometimes press releases make me giggle.
But despite the silliness of the collection description, I am loving these three shades I tried out!
The collection includes:
Purple Poodle: Fuchsia duochrome shimmer
Digital Glitter: Metallic duochrome glitter
Angel Rain: Light blue duochrome
Pink Waterfall: Pink crème
Teal Unreal: Teal crème
Pixi Powder: Light purple and gold shimmer
Pink Waterfall, Angel Rain, Purple Poodle
Pink Poodle is a vivid and creamy bright cool-toned pink creme. I am in love with this color because it’s so blueish and intense! It had a really great formula, completely covering with two coats and no issues at all.
Angel Rain is a light blue duochrome. It flashes from blue to pink/purple. It is a really thin and somewhat sheer formula at first but it does build up really nicely with three thin coats and covers completely. The duochrome is really strong, just like in the bottle, so yay! Very pretty shade.
Purple Poodle is a bright fuchsia with heavy blue and purple shimmer and small chunks of purple irregular shaped glitter. It has a jelly consistency and it’s just so darn pretty! Despite the jelly finish it covers really nicely with three thin coats. I adore it.
Overall: Loving this collection! These three shades, from what I could tell from the press release, looked to be the most interesting ones. I like each of these because they are really pretty and/or unique and had a great formula.
Availability: September at Orly online, Sally Beauty, Ulta, etc.
Now I want to know what you think about these three shades? Anything you will be purchasing?
