Jordana is introducing some new products and shade extensions this fall at Walgreens and today I’ve got the 12 HR Made To Last Eyeshadow Pencils, which come in eight shades.
These are fatty pencils which can be used all over the lid as a stand-alone eyeshadow, as a base for powder eyeshadow or even as eye liner, if you wish. They are long-lasting, crease-proof, water resistant, and paraben free.
Eternal White is a nice bright clean white matte.
Continuous Almond is a matte beige/nude.
Pink Evermore is a shimmery light pink.
Aqua Last is a metallic aqua blue.
Endless Emerald is a deep shimmery emerald green.
Prolong Purple is a shimmery royal purple.
Tenacious Brown is a dark chocolate brown matte.
Stay-On Black is a jet black matte.
These are nice and creamy and apply without any tugging or pulling on the skin. They all are nicely pigmented and go on without any patchiness or bald spots. They do start to set right away, but you can work with them a bit up until like 45-60 seconds later when they’re REALLY set. That’s actually not as fast as some pencils set, so I like that. Sometimes I feel all panicky like I’m playing “beat the clock” with pencils that set too fast! I tried them both on their own with no eye primer, since they say they’re crease-proof, and then with a primer.
Without the primer they did crease on me after a couple hours. Typical for me, nothing I wasn’t expecting. With the primer they stayed on all day without any creasing.
Overall: I think these are pretty nice eyeshadow pencils, especially considering the price! They have a great consistency and pigmentation, go on easily and have a nice wear time (with primer). My personal favorite shades are Continuous Almond and Endless Emerald.
Do you like these kind of shadow pencils? Will you be picking any of these shades up?
