Bite Beauty has two new products out for us this fall including the Cashmere Lip Creams (six shades) and Contour Lip Liners (five shades).
The Cashmere Lip Cream is a really interesting product. It’s a cream to powder matte lip color which is incredibly pigmented. I mean PIGMENTED. How do they get it like that? Well they hand-mill edible butters with pure premium pigments. It has four times the average level of pigments and contains the highest level of pigment ever used in a lip product! They get the cream to powder effect by using butters, waxes and oils. The combination of the waxes and butters with the powdery texture of silica makes for a creamy smooth application that absorbs into the lips while the powdered pigments stay on the surface for a matte finish. So high tech. But wait, there’s more. Also included is sunflower wax and plant-based silicone oil to help moisturize lips. It has a high level of Japanese silica powder to prime and prevent feathering, and also 5mg of Resveratrol, which helps fight free radicals and aging around your lips.
The Contour Lip Liners are retractable and have a slanted tip. They contain a vegetable silicone formula which nourishes lips with olive butters and esters for a smooth application. Also inside are water-resistant food-grade waxes that help give you a feather-proof finish. These are matte, yet still feel creamy and contain 3mg of Resveratrol to help with aging around the lips.
Sancerre Cashmere Lip Cream is a medium pink/red. Ok let me try and explain this. This is THE MOST PIGMENTED lip product I have ever tried. Seriously, it’s pretty amazing. It’s creamy, even, smooth, intense, shiny and comfortable. It feels soft and velvety on the lips, not tight, not sticky, not dry. It lasts for hours. Love this stuff!
Cabernet is a medium bright red.
Nutmeg is a light beige/pink shade.
These Contour Lip Liners twist-up, so no need for sharpening. They do feel relatively creamy and don’t tug on the skin. I personally am not a fan of the slanted-tip style lip liners. I feel like I get better control with a pointed tip, but that’s just me.
Overall: So I am completely loving the Cashmere Lip Cream that I tried and now I want to try more shades. This is a really unique lip product from anything else I’ve ever used, and I am enamored with the texture and pigmentation. The Contour Lip Liners are nice, they felt good and were pigmented, but I don’t love the angle of them. If you love doing am ombre lip though, these could help with that more easily than a pointed tip.
Pricing: Cashmere Lip Cream is $28 for .26 oz, Contour Lip Liner is $24 for 0.08 oz.
What do you think about these? Have you tried Bite Beauty yet (they really are amazing!)?
