Happy Monday morning to ya! I trust your weekend went well? Did you do anything fun?
Today I’ve got the new NARS Eye Paint collection for fall 2013. These Eye Paints are brand new and definitely worth checking out.
These little pots of colored gel come in ten shades and you can use them as either a gel liner or eyeshadow. They are really smooth and creamy, give nice color payoff and are buildable as well. Not only that, but they have a new Angled Eyeliner Brush (#38) that it really nice and works very well with these when using as liner.
These five are the non-shimmery shades.
And here we have the shimmers.
Mesopotamia, Transvaal, Solomon Islands, Mozambique, Black Valley
Mesopotamia is a deep chocolate brown.
Transvaal is a smoked out grey.
Solomon Islands is a bright turquoise blue.
Mozambique is a fun olive green.
Black Valley is a rich black.
Interstellar, Iskandar, Tatar, Ubangi, Snake Eyes
Interstellar is a metallic silver.
Iskandar is a shimmery gold.
Tatar is a blackened purple shimmer.
Ubangi is a blackened navy blue shimmer.
Snake Eyes is a blackened green shimmer.
Overall: Something I noticed is that these don’t try out too quickly. You know how I know that? Three of them in the package didn’t have the lids on the whatsoever, and about 4 others were all loose. None of them felt dry, though you can see Interstellar has kind of pulled away from the sides and shrank down. But keep the lids on tight and you should be fine.
I like that they feel very nice and the shimmers don’t feel gritty because the shimmer is so small. I got great payoff, especially with the last three blackened shades, which are also my favorite ones. I do really like Mozambique and Black Valley as well. They set rather quickly which can be both good and bad. I have yet to try them with this liner brush but it’s a nice feeling brush but the handle is rather long. I normally prefer a super small straight brush for my gel/cream liners, but I do use this kind for my brows.
Pricing: $25.00 for Eye Paints and $26.00 for Angled Eyeliner Brush.
Are there any shades here you want to try out?
