Milani Fantastical Plumage makes me think of Mardi Gras, Carnivale and fun festivals all over the world. Even though I have never been to one. 😉
Fantastical Plumage features five bright shades and a black and white glitter Jewel FX topcoat. Honestly, I like the shades on their own without the topcoat, but I have shown you what that looks like as well.
This is limited edition, so get ’em while they’re HOT.
Canary is a bright canary yellow creme with just a wee hint of golden shimmer. It’s bright and fun and…streaky. But the good thing is it’s not so streaky you can’t work with it. You just need a good even three coats. It is on the thick side so work carefully. The shimmer is really hidden but you can see it on certain lighting.
Peacock is a bright sky blue creme. This one too is unfortunately a bit streaky but a third coat might have helped. Pretty shade though.
Purple Martin is a beautiful medium purple shade with that very subtle shimmer inside. But bscially it’s a creme. Such a pretty shade. it’s very blue looking in some lighting. This was two coats, no streaks.
Scarlet Ibis is a bright intense orange with slight shimmer. Such an amazing shade and formula! It’s really thick but easy to work with. It’s nearly a one-coater, but I used two.
Blue Jay is an intense cobalt blue creme. Stunning. Rich, thick, creamy, shiny, smooth and gorgeous. This is two coats.
Here we have Carnival over Scarlet Ibis. It has a clear base and features black bar glitter, black medium hex glitter and white large hex glitter. I am not a fan of this one because the white glitter is so large and you have to place everything. Plus I don’t love bar glitter.
Overall: There are some really great bright shades here! I love Canary, Purple Martin, Scarlet Ibis and Blue Jay.
Availability: Limited edition at CVS, Meijer and Milani’s website during August.
Will you be purchasing any of these shades?
