MAC In Extreme Dimension 3D Black Lash comes out soon and is supped to give your lashes a cinematic special effect.
So what is this special effect? It’s an innovative pigment and the saturation of it is supposed to give you a super intense pitch-black look. It absorbs light and reduces reflection.
This mascara also helps with volume, length and it curls as well. The brush holds more mascara because of the rows of micro fibers that weave in and out of your lashes to help separate and define. It’s a non-clumping formula, non-flaking and non-smudging.
You can see a lot came off the wand onto my hand for the swatch and it’s definitely a very thick deep black shade.
When I applied it to my lashes a good amount came off the brush onto my lashes, but it wasn’t clumpy or too much. The brush does a great job of really getting into your lash-line and covering everything. I definitely noticed some volume but even more-so, length. This stuff made my lashes nice and long! Even the bottom lashes look longer and it didn’t smudge off onto my skin, which happens frequently with me.
As far as it being the blackest black that absorbs light, etc. I have no idea. I mean, it’s black for sure, but is it blacker than any other black mascara? Maybe not.
Overall: Even if I don’t see a 3D cinematic effect, it’s a good mascara. I love these kind of wands, they’re my favorite now, and I like the artistic looking tube.
