L’Occitane Immortelle Brightening Hand Care is my latest favorite hand creme with SPF 15 and PA++.
You know how not too long ago I was complaining how so few companies made hand lotions with SPF in them? Well I am finding more and more and am REALLY happy about it!
The other two I have been using are from Ellen Sirot and Deborah Lippmann. But I do have some complaints about each of those. Mainly it’s that the Ellen Sirot one isn’t easy to find in drugstores and the Lippmann one is a tad greasy and also not super easy to find.
L’Occitane products are relatively easier to find for me since they are in all the malls around where I live. Also, there is the online option (as with the Lippmann one).
Immortelle Brightening Hand Care is made with the immortelle flower, which doesn’t fade even when picked. It has essential oils which are rich in anti-aging molecules. Also inside is bellis prennis (aka the daisy flower), which is supposed to help with regulating melanin production and evening out skin tone and fading age spots. Also included, of course, is an SPF of 15 to protect against UV rays.
There are a couple things I love about this hand lotion. One is that it has a really nice light scent and doesn’t smell like sunscreen at all. The best part though? It’s completely non-greasy and just feels like a really nice hand lotion. It doesn’t make your skin look ghostly, rubs in quickly and feels light and nice on the skin. I can’t speak about the lightening aspect of it because I’ve only used it a few times so far.
If there is one thing I don’t love about it it’s the packaging. The bottle itself is fine, but the lid is a twist-top and I wish it was a flip-top or squeezeable just to make it easier to open/close. Ok also, I wish it was less expensive!
It comes in an SPF 20 variety as well, which is even better!
Pricing: $30.00 for 2.8 oz.
What do you use for an SPF for your hands? And don’t tell me you don’t use one. 😉
