Jessica A Night at the Opera for fall 2013 features six new shades.
This collection was inspired by pioneering founder and CEO of Jessica Cosmetics, Jessica Vartoughian and her interest and love of the opera. “I love opera for its passion and its spectacular twists and turns – anything is possible!”
Opening Night is a fuchsia shimmer. This is a really pretty shade, my favorite one here in fact. It’s bright and jewel-toned and glows. Great formula, just two coats were needed.
Overture is a coppery/orange shimmer. Amazing glow and intensity from this color. This was also just two coats and a really nice formula.
Standing Ovation is a medium blue-ish/green shimmer. Actually, it’s only blue-ish in the bottle and it looks like it would be a duochrome. On the nail though, it’s 99% green. Still nice and just two coats.
Prima Donna is a deep yet bright violet shimmer. This is a beautiful shade, but one we have seen a gazillion times. This was two coats.
Blue Aria is a deep cobalt blue creme. It’s very, very, dark, nearly black, But if you put it against black, you can tell it’s not quite that dark. Nice coverage though with two coats.
Velvet & Pearls is a shiny deep black. It’s your basic black polish, nothing super unique about it. Nice formula, also two coats.
Overall: Nice collection and it definitely says autumn to me. I don’t know that anything was completely unique but I do think Opening Night and Overture were especially pretty.
Availability: Jessica, spas and salons.
