butter LONDON The Colour Clash is the latest collection for Autumn/Winter 2013.
This collection is rather unexpected for this time of year – it features six colorful shades including many brights. I’ve got just two of what I think are the more mellow shades (Cotton Buds and Giddy Kipper), but they’re really both quite nice.
The other shades include Cake-Hole (bright pink creme), Pimms (sunflower yellow creme), Silly Billy (bright orange creme) and Wellies (bright green creme).
Cotton Buds is an opaque white creme. I am really quite blown away by the formula of this one! It’s really, really opaque with one coat and nary a streak in sight! This is so rare for a white polish. I am really impressed. I like this shade of white also because while it’s rather bright and crisp, it’s not completely stark white. It somehow has a slight softening to it, like a marshmallow. This was two thin coats.
Giddy Kipper is an indigo blue with fine ribbons of silvery shimmer. This is a really gorgeous shade. So gorgeous I wore it over the weekend right after I swatched it. It’s a clean looking blue with just a hint of purple. The shimmer is more hidden in lower lighting, but I still love it. It’s got a great formula as well, very creamy and opaque with just two coats.
