Pretty Serious Hit The Road Collection is a six-piece collection inspired by road trips and cars.
This is the latest collection from Pretty Serious and it’s actually on sale for 10% off right now if you are so inclined.
It features a variety of shades and finishes including holographic, cream, glittery and one must-have shimmer!
Generally Hazzardous (an homage to The Dukes of Hazzard) is the must-have I was referring to above. This bright orange shade with heavy gold shimmer is so intense and pretty! It’s hot, it’s bright, it’s super shimmery, it’s just amazing. The formula was crazy good also, super rich and creamy (sounds like I’m talking about ice cream). You could probably get away with one thicker coat but I used two thin ones.
88mph (a tribute to the Delorean in Back to the Future) is a metallic foil with silver, gold and holographic shimmer. Super sparkly and shimmery and the holo glitter definitely comes through quite a bit. Nice formula, easy to work with and just two coats.
Hell on Wheels is a bright red creme that nearly looks like a jelly. It’s super shiny and super saturated. It reminds me of a bright cherry red melting Popsicle! This was two coats.
Something Strange (a tribute to Ghostbusters) has a clear base and contains medium white hex glitter, small red hex glitter and a little bit of blue micro-glitter. Since it has a clear base, I am showing it over Hell on Wheels. This was two coats and it applies rather easily with not much glitter movement.
Party Time! Excellent! (obviously a tribute to Wayne’s World) features lots of blue, red and gold glitter in a pale yellow-y base. This could be a full coverage glitter if you used three coats. I used two here and it’s nearly there. This was also really easy to use, though a little thick.
Turbo Boost (a tribute to KITT from Knight Rider, yay!) is deep black jelly base with small red bar glitter pieces. This is a reaaaaaallly dark polish and doesn’t translate as nicely in pics as it does in person. It’s really quite pretty and very Halloween-y to me. This was two coats and a nice thick top coat will smooth that glitter out.
Overall: Cute eclectic collection! I think they definitely got the colors and tributes down perfectly, but I would expect nothing less from Kaz. My favorites were Generally Hazzardous, 88mph and Turbo Boost because they are really nice shades but the formula was great as well. And Hell on Wheels is an excellent classic shiny red if you’re looking for one.
Availability: Pretty Serious.
Pricing: $9.95 each or the whole set on sale for $53.95.
