The NARS Fall 2013 Color Collection is nearly here and I’ve got all the goods for ya today.
Yesterday you may have seen my swatches of their two nail shades called Galathèe and Fury (which I also included in this post just to keep it all together – because I’m anal retentive). But now, NOW I’ve got it all. See it didn’t take that long, did it?
Without further ado, let’s dig in.
Pure Matte Lipstick La Paz, Peloponnese ($26)
Velvet Matte Lipstick Mysterious Red, Paimpol ($25)
Peloponnese, La Paz, Paimpol, Mysterious Red
Peloponnese is a peachy brown with gold sparkles. This felt rather dry and tended to skip a bit when I first applied it on my lips.
La Paz (limited edition) is a pink/purple with pink sparkles. Same kind of dry feeling with this one as with Peloponnese. Not my favorite texture.
Paimpol is a very pale pink with soft pink shimmer. It felt on the dry side to me.
Mysterious Red (limited edition) is a bright classic blue-based red and it is gorgeous. Much better, creamier formula and very intense.

Single Eyeshadow Namibia ($24)
Single Eyeshadow Yamal ($24)
Single Eyeshadow Bavaria ($24)
Single Eyeshadow Kamchatka ($24)
Namibia, Yamal, Bavaria, Kamchatka
Namibia is a soft dove grey matte. A bit patchy and chalky.
Yamal (limited edition) is a light taupe.
Bavaria is an intense blue metallic. Nicely pigmented, really shimmery looking.
Kamchatka is a dark greyed out navy blue with slight shimmer. Slightly patchy but it does build up.
Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner Las Ramblas, Via De’ Martelli ($24)
Las Ramblas, Via De’ Martelli
Las Ramblas (limited edition) is a yellow gold shimmer. Hmmm I have no idea how I would wear this. The formula isn’t the best it skips a bit.
Via De’ Martelli is a deep warm chocolate brown.
Galathee, Fury ($19)

Full nail review posted here.
Overall: There are some items here I liked including Mysterious Red Velvet Matte Lipstick, the Nail Polish shades and Bavaria Single Eyeshadow. The Pure Matte Lipsticks felt really dry and uncomfortable to me, not sure if it’s because of the matte formula with the sparkles or what. A couple of the other Single Eyeshadows seems a bit on the chalky and uneven side to me and Las Ramblas Eyeliner wasn’t as intense and even as I would like (plus I don’t know how I would wear it)!
Availability: Starting July 15th on NARS website.
So what do we think about this collection? Anything here you love or will you be passing on it?
