You have already seen the nail shades from the Laura Mercier Dark Spell collection for fall 2013, and now we are checking out a few of the other items.
Included in this collection to go along with the dark smokey eye shadows (which I don’t have) is a limited edition Kohl Liner Extreme in Black, limited edition Lip Plumper in Charmed and the permanent Creme Smooth Lip Colour in Angelic.
Creme Smooth Lip Colour in Angelic ($26), Kohl Liner Extreme in black ($24), Lip Plumper in Charmed ($30)
Kohl Liner in Black, Lip Plumper in Charmed, Lip Colour in Angelic
Kohl Extreme Liner in Black is actually made to be worn on the inside eye line! It comes in a twist-up tube that kind of looks like a lipstick. It’s a super soft liner and nicely pigmented. It applied very easily to the inner eye without much effort at all. It only lasted on me for an hour on the waterline without fading though. Boo!
Lip Plumper in Charmed is a very pale slightly shimmery pink. Let’s face it. It’s basically invisible. Not enough pigment for me and it actually feels kind of dry and strange on my lips.
Creme Smooth Lip Colour in Angelic is a soft pink/nude shade. It includes vitamin E and olive oil which helps it feels smooth and comfortable. It’s very lightweight and this is a really light shade. I like it though, great look with a dark eye!
Overall: Of these three items I think two of them were nice. I am not really a fan of Charmed Lip Plumper because the texture seemed dry to me and $30.00 is a lot to spend on a tube of nearly invisible lip gloss. Angelic is a nice light pink shade though and feels nice on my lips. The Kohl Extreme Liner was a little disappointing in terms of how long it lasted on the waterline, but I think it would work nicely as a regular black liner.
I still think the best thing by FAR out of this collection is Bewitched Nail Polish!
Yea or nay on anything here?
