Urban Decay B6 Vitamin-Infused Complexion Prep Spray is new this fall and comes out today.
What the heck is this stuff anyway and why would anyone need a complexion prep spray? Well for starters it will give your skin a boost of vitamins and if you are suffering from redness, it helps calm it down as well.
It features the first stabilized form of vitamin B6, which helps absorb oil, minimizes pores, and also reduces redness. It also has vitamin E which provides antioxidants and cell turnover, and willow bark, which contains natural salicylic acids. It’s oil-free and paraben-free as well.
You can use it to prep and hydrate your skin anytime you want – either before makeup or throughout the day over makeup. All you have to do is shake it, hold it 8-10 inches away from your face and mist all over your face (keep eyes closed).
It has a very nice light scent and feels cooling and refreshing. It never feels sticky and it helps control shiny spots a bit as well.
Here are some stats from their 8 week clinical study:
- Over 81% of participants had a measurable reduction in oil and surface shine
- Over 78% had more radiant skin with less redness and fewer blemishes
- A majority of participants had a measurable improvement in pore size
- Over 72% had a measurable improvement in their skin’s overall appearance
I’ve been using it for a couple days mainly as a skin refresher in the middle of the day and like it thus far. I don’t know that it makes a huge difference in my pore appearance and I don’t usually have much redness in my face. But it does make my skin feel refreshed, hydrated and helps with oily spots. Plus it’s just kinda fun to spray a mist on your face for an afternoon pick-me-up! 😉
