Bite Beauty Lush Fruit Lip Gloss is a new line featuring twelve shades of super juicy, wet-looking, fruit-scented lip gloss.
Their milling process includes some fancy, schmancy stuff! They infuse whole coconuts, mangos and strawberries with seven fruit oils and pigments, which creates a delicious smelling tropical concoction for your lips. The gloss has nutrients, antioxidant and seed oils. They are 99% natural and contain their signature ingredient resveratrol, which helps with fine lines and wrinkles. They also used a combination of 100% natural olive oil and natural waxes to get a waterproof finish.
The shades range from pale nude to bright red to intense coral to deep burgundy.
- Honey – Nude with gold shimmer
- Rambutan – Peachy nude
- Cocoa – Nude Mauve
- Currant – Sheer plum
- Raisin – Pale creamy pink
- Peach – Baby pink
- Strawberry – Sheer carnation pink
- Garnet – Vibrant coral pink
- Spice – Bright red orange
- Apple – Candy apple red
- Strangefruit – Sheer magenta violet
- Blackberry – Deep wine burgundy
Garnet is a somewhat sheer strawberry pink shade. While it is very shiny it shade doesn’t apply as evenly as I would like. It’s definitely just a medium coverage and tends to settle into lip lines a bit.
Spice is an intense pigmented orange red. Gorgeous! This formula was much more even and saturated than Garnet. Beautiful.
They both taste and smell like tropical fruit. Maybe fruit punch with just a hint of plastic? Not in a bad way but in sort of a manufactured lip gloss way. Hard to explain, but it doesn’t bother me. They are just very slightly sticky, but again, nothing too noticeable for me. Not as sticky as MAC Lipglass. They are super duper shiny!
Overall: Hard to judge them completely by just two shades, but I think they have great potential. I really liked Spice in terms of the formula and intensity of the color. I’m not sure how many of them are actually this saturated. A couple are described as “sheer” on the Sephora site, so I would expect those to be even more sheer than Garnet was.
If scents/tastes bother you, you may not be partial to these.
Pricing: $22.00 for 0.13 oz.
