OCC Sci-Fi Lullabies is a new spring 2013 collection that features six new nail lacquer shades (and some Lip Tars, coming in another review). From metallic, to creme to shimmery they’ve got it covered and REALLY nicely I must say!
I was super impressed with nearly every single one here. Not only are the shades really awesome, but the coverage is fantastic. Nearly all of them could be one coaters! But I used two on most of them anyway.
And I have to say, I love how these bottles are thin and all line up so nicely. They take up much less space than other shapes.
Electric Sheep is a lavender with silver shimmer. I don’t know what it is about this one, but I absolutely love it. It didn’t look all that special in the bottle but I completely love it on. Gorgeous. Two coats.
Videodrome is a smoky teal creme. Very opaque and a really nice shade. Maybe we’ve seen this shade before with other brands, but the fact that it can cover in one coat is pretty cool. I used two here.
Pond is a royal blue creme. It’s vivid, it’s rich, it’s amazing. This is my favorite one here. It’s a bit darker and not as bright a blue as Nails Inc Baker Street, in case you wondered.
Leeloo is a warm orange with lots of multi-colored shimmer. This is the perfect shade to match Leeloo’s hair (Milla Jovovich’s character from The Fifth Element). It was on the sheer side though, but it builds up after three coats to be opaque.
Ripley is a gorgeous olive green metallic with heavy gold shimmer. I LOVE the Alien movies so of course I love Ripley! Very opaque, you only need one thick coat but I used two thinner ones.
Batty is a jet black with super heavy silver micro-glitter. Love how deep this one is, and it’s just jam-packed with glitter. This also could be one coat, but I used two.
Overall: Great collection! I am really impressed with the intense pigmentation of these and I didn’t have a single problem with application on any of them. My personal favorites are Electric Sheep, Pond and Ripley.
