The NCLA Life’s A Beach collection for spring features four new sheer pastel shades.
In case you aren’t familiar with NCLA yet, they are a Los Angeles based company who is 5 Free meaning: cruelty free and no Formaldehyde, DBP, Toluene or Camphor.
Let’s check out Life’s A Beach.
Tennis Anyone? Is a cool-toned lemon yellow. It starts off really sheer and watery but does build up after three coats to an opaque shade. It is streaky though, as with most yellows. Pretty shade, too bad about the finish.
AM: Beauty Sleep, PM: Shopping Spree is a very pale sheer green. It might be the most subtle green I own but I really like it. It does build up after three thin coats, but still is a wee bit patchy.
Don’t Call Me Peachy! is a peachy creme. This one was much thicker and not sheer. It covered in two coats and is a really pretty shade. A wee bit patchy again though.
As If! is a lavender creme. This one, like Don’t Call Me Peachy! is thicker and covers in two coats. No streaks!
Overall: I’m not sure there is anything unique here other than maybe AM: Beauty Sleep, PM: Shopping Spree (side-note: can you imagine anyone asking you what nail shade you’re wearing and you have to say all that?). They are all nice shades but for this price I want less streaks.
Pricing: $16.00 for 0.5 oz.
