MAC Extended Play Gigablack Lash mascara is a new offering this spring.
If it sounds and looks very familiar it’s because they previously released one like it called Extended Play Lash, which came in the shade Endlessly Black. So what are the differences, since they look exactly the same in the tube?
Well they say this one is a blacker, deeper shade more of a carbon black. It is self-curling and lifting and has a “gripper brush” that helps cover even your super scrawny lashes and makes them look thicker and fuller.
Right eye with Gigablack Lash, left eye with nothing
It definitely does a great job of lifting and curling, like Extended Play Lash, which I love. It makes my lashes appear long, fluttery and thicker. Nice and black and not clumpy or crunchy feeling at all.
The truth is, I cannot tell the difference between the two. On my hand and eye swatches they look like the same shade of black to me. They curl and lengthen and thicken the same as far as I could tell. They both last a good 14 + hours on me with no flaking off or smudging. I love them both! So I say if you still have the other one, there isn’t a need to rush out and buy this one also, because it’s so similar.
Pricing: $16.00 for .20 oz.
Have you tried either of these?
