Estee Lauder Bronze Goddess 2013 is a new limited edition collection for…SUMMER! Yes summer items are starting to roll in, yahoo!
You know what that means? Long days, short nights, warm weather, BBQ’s, lemonade and short sleeves. Can you tell summer is my favorite time of year? 😉
So if you love oranges, teals, warm bronze-y shades and pops of bright orange, this collection might sing your name.
Heat Wave is a soft light gold shade, with amazing pigmentation. Really just a very small amount goes a looooong way with this.
Hot Spell is a vivid, intense coral creme. Gorgeous summery shade, great coverage in two coats.
Black Sands features a jet black on one side and an intense bronze on the other. Nice and pigmented.
Squeeze is a VERY sheer pink shade. So sheer it’s basically invisible. It didn’t leave any color on my lips, just a really soft gloss. But man, it comes in a rollerball style, which brings me way back to being a kid. I love applying it constantly because it feels so cooling and nice on my lips! The taste and smell is of passion fruit.
Bronze Goddess Powder Bronzer in Light is a light reflecting, buildable bronzer. It comes in Light, Medium, Medium Deep and Deep.
Luminous Liquid Bronzer is a pearlized reflective liquid bronzer that comes in just the one shade.
Batik Sun is the star of this show ladies and gents. I love these shades together, especially the orange, teal and chocolate brown. It just screams summer to me.
First is a warm orange with sheen. Super pigmented and gorgeous.
Second is a pale warm gold with shimmer. Nice shade, nicely pigmented.
Third is an intense teal shimmer. Very pigmented and SO pretty.
Fourth is a slightly gritty pale taupe/vanilla shimmer.
Finally in the middle is a shimmery deep brown with great payoff.
Overall: Definitely a perfect summer collection in terms of all the shades choices. I’m really liking the Liquid Eyeliner Duo in Black Sands and the Batik Sun palette. Batik Sun is the stand-out winner though. It just has really gorgeous shades individually and combined.
See anything here you want to fork over your hard-earned dollars for?
