Zoya Lovely for spring 2013 features six new shades in a shimmery metallic finish and pastel creme finish.
This collection definitely makes me very eager to get warmer weather, sunshine and singing birds here STAT!
Piaf, Gie Gie, Julie
Piaf
Piaf is a yellow mustard-esque shimmery metallic. This is definitely not a very common yellow, and happily it works on my skin tone! This had a really nice formula; creamy and good coverage with just two coats. It’s kind of unusual, and my favorite one in this collection.
Gie Gie
Gie Gie is a light blush pink shimmery metallic. It’s a very soft and feminine shade and very spring-like. Good formula, just two coats.
Julie
Julie is a soft lavender shimmery metallic. Gorgeous shade, I really like this one. It’s also extremely feminine and soft looking. This was three thin coats.
Blu, Neely, Jacqueline
Blu
Blu is a very pale pastel blue creme. It’s a very whitened blue. It’s not chalky looking, but it was on the slightly streaky side. It did even out really nicely with three thin coats.
Neely
Neely is a pale spring green creme. It’s not mint, much softer than mint. Really a pretty shade, it’s my second favorite one here. This one wasn’t as streaky as Blu, but I used three thin coats to get the coverage I wanted.
Jacqueline
Jacqueline is a soft yellow/nude creme with just a very slight hint of shimmer. This was the one I had the most issues with formula-wise. It applied pretty uneven, and even after three thin coats you can see some streaky areas where it didn’t completely cover. It’s is still a nice pale shade though and would probably work great with a white under it.
Then I decided to take my two favorite ones and do dots (of course)! So here is Piaf with Neely on top.
Overall: Good solid spring collection. The shades scream spring, and I like that there are two different finishes. In the case of this collection I prefer the shimmery metallics more than the cremes because the formula is just smoother and creamier with them. I think the most unique shades are Piaf, Julie and Neely.
Availability: Shipping starting January 1st on Zoya.com.
Pricing: $8.00.
What do you like/dislike about Zoya Lovely? Anything here make you want to fast-forward 3 months to spring?

These are lovely! I’ll probably get Piaf and Neely, at the very least. I hope they look okay on my skin tone. I tend to have trouble with lighter colors. 🙁
I’m definitely going to end up buying all of these 🙂 My favorite of the collection is Neely cuz I love green. I didn’t think I was going to like the metallics but they’re really nice.
These are cute. Love the shimmery shades.
loving piaf! and I am not a fan of most yellows. awesome swatches as usual, thanks
Love allllll of these!!
I like the blue and green creams. I think I’ll give the others a miss this time… I like Zoya as a polish brand though!
LOVE this collection! My favourites are Julie, Blu, and Gie Gie. Blu reminds me a lot of Essie Borrowed & Blue, but I’m totally ok with that since it’s one of my favourites ever 🙂
Julie is a really pretty shade! These make me so excited for spring!
Blu is at the top of my list for spring! I’m interested to see how Piaf looks with my skin…
I like the shimmery polishes from this collection. The cremes seem too similar to other polishes I already have, although they are pretty and cotton candy-like.

I’m loving Blu and Julie, but I’m afraid I have more purple nail polish than any other color!
Nice swatches, but most of these seem just a bi too icy for my taste. How does Piaf compare to the Misa Wanderlust collection color Epiphany?
I think this is the first collection in a long time, from Zoya, that I actually don’t like. I will be skipping every single one of these.
Each one of these is like Easter in a bottle 🙂 I like that Zoya seems do to a mix of shimmers and mattes in a lot of their collections, similar shades but different finishes

I love this collection. Jacqueline is probably my fave, but they all tempt me.

I love love love those shimmery shades. Very feminine. Very spring.. they all do remind me of Easter eggs! I am not sure how I feel about the creams, and I HATE streaky polish so I’m glad you warned us about the formula. Looks like only half of this collection is making it home..
Glad to hear Piaf has a good formula! It’s the only one I was interested in buying.
So eastery! Love Blu and Neely.

Oohh! I want all the shimmer ones and Neely. So pretty and they do scream spring like you said 🙂
I went to a shoe store yesterday and they already had a lot of pastel color spring shoes out on the shelves. I mean it’s not even Jan yet and it’s 17 F degrees outside plus a lot of snow. The first thing in my mind isn’t really buying a pair of pastel mint green sneakers 😀 Though those shoes and your swatch pics have made me want to fast forward to spring already.

I like Neely, but the collection left me rather unamazed in its entirety…

From the bottle pics, I didn’t expect the shimmers to be so opaque! But well some, Zoya..

I don’t think I’m ready for pastels yet! Out of these, only Piaf appeals to me.

Jacqueline! If only for the reason that Zoya FINALLY made a Jackie or Jacqueline. I’ve been waiting patiently.

I’d be quite excited to get Piaf. I think it would be so pretty in the summer.
Of course, I’m diggin’ your dot mani! Pastels aren’t normally favorites but I like the shimmers!

I really like the looks of Blu, I might need to it. I don’t think I have any blues quite that pale in my collection. How does Neely compare to China Glaze Refreshmint? I know I don’t really need another mint green… but I think I might get sucked in anyway, lol. Jacqueline reminds me of a yellow I have from Nubar, Primrose?, same shimmer and streaky formula! I was going to get that one as well, but I think I’ll pass now.
I just bought all 4 =/. I’ve been waiting for a while now for Zoya to have a polish in my name and finally!! I missed it while it was out for Fashion Week, so I’m glad I finally got my hands on these. Now to wait patiently until they’re shipped.
Oops….meant all 6.
The shimmery shades really spell Easter for me. 🙂 Very cute!
I love how you really enjoy dotticures. Each time I see them on you, I smile! They’re so fun to look at, and I can tell you enjoyed painting it (which means even more).

Pastel cremes are my favorite type of polish. I’m definitely going to pick up Neely. Bummer about Blu being a little streaky- at this point I feel like I have enough polishes where I need to avoid ones with any sort of formula issues, whereas I probably would’ve picked it up last year.
The cremes are kinda pointless.
I like the shimmers but Zoya are way too expensive in the UK.
Blu looks very similar to Essie’s Borrowed and Blue. Are they a dupe?

Sorry I don’t own that Essie.
oh my! it’s too soon for Spring colors. even still, they are very girlie and purdiful and do indeed scream SPRING!

It’s so hard to find a yellow polish that doesn’t look weird with my skin tone. I really hope Piaf passes the swatch test at my local crack/Zoya dealer.
Gorgeous swatches! Unfortunately I’m not a fan of the shimmers! And Gie Gie seems very similar to OPI Pedal faster Suzi! from last spring.. I really like Jacqueline though, such a shame on the formula..Will prob get it anyway and the other two cremes will most likely sneak into the shopping bag as well just cause they’re such lovely spring shades! 🙂
How similar is Jessica Barely Blueberry to Zoya Blu? Do I need them both? Thanks Kelly!!
Barely Blueberry is a slightly lighter blue and more like a jelly almost. It’s very sheer and build-able, yet still has this soft look to it. Blu is more like a whitened light blue pastel, very creamy and opaque.
