Tarte wants you to pucker up with their new 5-piece holiday LipSurgence collection called Baby It’s Cold Outside.
This collection features two full size LipSurgence lip tints, two full size LipSurgence lip lusters and a full size LipSurgence matte lip tint. It comes in a festive pink and gold patterned box with gold caps on each lip tint. And remember, these puppies don’t need sharpening, you just twist up!
Escape, Enchanted, Exposed, Sweet, Elite
Escape is a pale shimmery baby pink lip luster.
Enchanted is a sheer rose pink lip tint.
Exposed is a pinky/beige matte.
Sweet is a shimmery peach/pink lip luster.
Elite is an apricot lip tint.
The lip tints and lip lusters are all fairly sheer and light colored. Exposed, which is the matte shade, is more intense and will give you more coverage, though it’s still not super pigmented.
Availability: Sephora and Tarte.
Pricing: $34.00.
Are these shades your kind of colors or do you prefer more pigment?

I would personally go for something more pigmented because my lips are naturally pigmented, and a lot of the times sheer shades do nothing for me! I can see them being very easy to wear though.

Too bad they’re so super sheer…I bought the holiday LipSurgence collection last year and loved it, but I think I’ll pass on these. My wallet thanks you! 🙂
With that name, I expected a little more oomph and pigmentation from the colors! They’re pretty, but a little too sheer for me.

These swatches definitely don’t do justice to how they actually look on the lips- I own this set and the brighter colors can be built up on the lips quite easily and end up being much more bold than you would expect. I love this set!
I agree. I own this set myself and the colours build up before you know it. I suggest you guys don’t go by the swatches you see here and have a look in person, you won’t regret it!
Well, they’re nice, though is not my idea for “bold”.
I love these. I like a sheer lip and I love these shades.
Yikes, those are very disappointing. I was expecting them to have way more pigmentation than that. I’m so glad I passed on this set, the colors look way to similar to each other.
Probably will pass on these. Ironic name, though, considering they’re not pigmented at all!

These always look so enticing, seeing them in the tube I picture them having very opaque color but light/moisturizing texture… I don’t know why, it’s just how they look haha. But then I keep reading and remember why I always pass on these

Hm, I was contemplating getting these as my first venture into the tarte lippies, but they don’t seem like my thing, too sheer and look alike. I do want to try one of the regular line matte’s, they seem more pigmented.
I bought these about a month ago I think? They are nice, but I too was hoping for a bit more pigment. However, like someone said, you can build up the pigment on a few of these and they look really nice. The only one that was a disappointment for me in the pack was the matte nude :S I could not even give it away XD None of my friends or sister wanted it. Although when I saw last year’s colors I was a bit sad that they did not offer something more pigmented this year. I still love these though, and they definitely add more color than a sheer lip gloss. So for me, 4/5 stars 🙂
I bought last year’s set, but am going to pass on these. I found the caps on these cracked really easily, which was disappointing.

I must have light-colored lips but I purchased this set a couple of weeks ago and have found only the lightest pink doesn’t cover very opaquely. I also don’t like strikingly dramatic lips (I work in an office 40-50 hours a week) so this set may work for women similar to me!
I like sheer – I’m still not very comfy with a bold lip. I can’t wait to get these.
I already own Exposed, Enchanted and Sweet – so not too excited for this holiday box for myself and I am not buying gifts for anyone but for a few children and a couple other children that I picked their names from a local charity wish list the kids make up each yr. I do like the LipSurgance products – but I think we are going to see a lot of these package collections left over in after holiday sales – the storm is going to really hurt holiday sales in inventory movement as well as spirit to buy not to mention the hard hits of the economy in the US and globally. That said, if you are gifting the collection here would be a good one to break up and gift 1 or 2 to a special person. That said, I always feel cheap when I do that. Most folks I know would rather have a gift card to get something they need/want vs. open up makeup picked by another person.
I really like the brand and the kit looks awesome
I’m disappointed to hear these are so sheer. I have been wanting to try this line of products and this is such a good value. I think I will just wait and try one individually.

I have last years holiday set and love them although there caps do split for some reason as someone else has mentioned. I got this years holiday set from qvc and 2 of the colors seem to be different
