Estee Lauder has a new Pure Color Nail Lacquer collection out called Beyond Black. It includes five shades, one of which I reviewed awhile ago called Viper.
Now I’ve got the other four for ya! It might be hard to see in the bottles, but all of these have a really deep nice shimmer to them.
These all have a pretty good formula. They are slightly sheer and thin at first, but either two thicker or three thin coats covers perfectly.
Caviar is a deep grey with pink and blue shimmer. I honestly thought this was just a grey creme until I swatched it. I was pleasantly surprised at the shimmer, though it is subtle.
Bete Noire is a vivid purple with shimmer. This is the brightest and lightest in the collection. It’s a really pretty shade, but I have quite a few purples like this one.
Black Plum is a deep purple/red with shimmer. It’s very blackened looking but definitely doesn’t look black. This photo actually makes it look a little darker than it really is. Very pretty shade in person, but in low lighting you won’t see the shimmer.
Blue Blood is a deep navy blue with light blue shimmer. Another blackened shade, but it doesn’t look black. Pretty but again, I have others similar.
Overall: I liked all these shades, but felt most of them weren’t unique. Black Plum might be the one I don’t have as many repeats of in my nail stash. I do really like Caviar also.
What do you think about Beyond Black? Any here on your list?
