Sonia Kashuk’s Nail Colours for fall 2012 come in five new rich jewel tones and metallic shimmers. And of course, they are exclusive to Target.
- Hocus Pocus – rich purple (not shown)
- Emerald City – emerald green
- All Vamped Up – aubergine (not shown)
- Two Cents – metallic copper
- Dime a Dozen – metallic gunmetal
The formula was really great for the three I tried out. They are thick but not sticky, smooth and you only need two coats to cover completely.
Emerald City, Two Cents, Dime a Dozen
Emerald City is a deep emerald green creme. I do have some other deep green cremes that are somewhat similar but I haven’t compared them side by side. The ones I can think of are Lippmann Billionaire and RGB Vert. Regardless it’s a nice shade! This was two coats.
Two Cents is a glowing metallic copper shimmer. Beautiful! This is a really rich and deep copper. It looks very fiery. I love it. This was two coats.
Dime a Dozen
Dime a Dozen is a silvery gunmetal shimmery metallic. It has pink and green shimmer, which is subtle but there. This is a really pretty shade and I like it a lot. This color is extremely similar to another shade by her called Gray from Reach For The Stars. I have the bottles out side by side and Gray looks a little more brown to my eye. Maybe not quite as dark. But close. This was two coats.
Overall: Of the shades I tried I liked them all but feel Two Cents is the most unique. Dime a Dozen is gorgeous also but if you have Gray, I would say this one might not be worth getting unless you LOVE grey metallics.
Availability: Target and limited edition.
Pricing: $4.79 for 0.5 oz.
What do you think about these fall shades? Any here worth a trip to Target for?
