Essence has a new Colour & Go nail polish collection for this fall/winter which features eighteen new shades.
This is my first ever experience with Essence nail polish. I love how the bottle caps are the same color and finish as what’s inside the bottle! The brush is also a new style than previously. It’s a wider brush which is supposed to distribute the color more evenly and quickly than before. It reminds me a bit of the Wet n Wild MegaLast brushes but not quite as wide.
Modern Romance, Ultimate Pink, Stuck On You
Modern Romance is a pale warm peachy/pink with a pink opalescent shimmer. This was a somewhat thick and streaky formula for me. I used three thin coats but you can see it’s not completely even.
Ultimate Pink is a bright fuchsia pink creme. This seems more of a summer shade to me, but that’s ok. It’s a bright fun shade, but again, a bit streaky. It wasn’t as sheer as Modern Romance though, so I only used two coats.
Stuck On You
Stuck On You is a murky grape purple with silver shimmer. This is a really gorgeous shade and had a great formula. It was the perfect creamy consistency, no streaks at all. I only needed two coats. I really like this one, I’m not sure I have anything quite like it either.
Overall: Of the three the formula was the best with Stuck On You and I feel it was the most unique shade. But for the price, I think these were pretty good polishes.
Pricing: $1.99 for 0.27 oz.
So what do you think about these shades? Have you tried any Essence nail polish yet?
