Zoya Designer is a new fall 2012 collection inspired by New York Fashion Week. Two of the shades were actually created for specific fashion designers: Rekha for Bibhu Mohapatra and Evvie for Peter Som.
This collection features six new creme shades. All super shiny and super pigmented with just two coats. Excellent!
Rekha
Rekha is a bright cool-toned red creme. This one is nearly a jelly in terms of formulation. It’s got a bit of that see-through squishiness to it that jellies have. Classic red shade. This was two coats.
Evvie
Evvie is a medium green creme. It’s a dusty shade, which makes it look cooler I think. I love how subdued and edgy it looks, and I don’t think I have any other green like it! Weird. I think this was my favorite shade from this side of the fall collections.
Noot
Noot (I want to say newt) is a deep green/grey. Very dark and murky, but definitely looks green not black. Love this one also, really nice and unique shade I think.
Natty
Natty is a dusty navy blue creme. I really like this shade, again because of the dustiness of it. It’s a blue you don’t see often, and I have 10 million bright navy cremes already.
Toni
Toni is a deep red/purple creme. Looks a little brown-ish also. Nice shade, not my favorite on me though.
Monica
Monica is a dark murky purple creme. Love that it isn’t grape or eggplant or royal purple. I like this cool-toned shade a lot and it’s also one of my favs here.
Overall: I wound up liking some of these a lot more than I expected judging just from the bottles. I initially thought we had seen these before, but really there were quite a few unique shades. My favorites are Evvie, Noot, Natty and Monica.
Availability: Zoya starting mid-July.
Pricing: $8.00 for 0.5 oz.
So inquiring minds wanna know, which of these do you like? Do you prefer the shimmery metallics of Diva or the murky cremes of Designer?
-Kelly
Note: Zoya is cruelty free.

There’s only one shade I’m not crazy over, and that’s Toni. But, as usual your swatches make every shade look great!

I really like Natty. I don’t think I’ve seen a blue that dusty before.

I also am really drawn to Natty because of the dustiness. 🙂 Another dusty blue I fell for was by Sally Hansen. It was Gray by Gray. If you like dusty blues, you should check that one out.

Rekha looks so delicious! I tend to like vampy reds but that one is so pretty!
I tend to go for creme finishes when my nails are bit on the short side but metallic finishes when they are a bit longer.

I like Evvie and Natty… a lot!

I’m probably going to end up with most of these 🙂 I love creme polishes.
Do you know how similar Evvie is to Essie’s School of Hard Rocks? I love greens, but do I need both?

Sorry I don’t have that one.
I want to wear FeiFei over Natty since FeiFei is more sheer. Lovely swatches as always!
I wasn’t sure I needed any of these when I saw them on another blog. Now I’m sure I need several of them. Thanks for the great post!

My faves are the same as yours here, Kelly. The swatches are so much prettier than the bottle pics.
I think Natty is my favorite of this bunch. Glad to see some of the fall collections making an appearance!

None of these stand out to me, unfortunetly. At least, not enough to purchase one.
I’m really liking Monica.
Natty is really gorgeous, and apparently navy is suddenly a huge color for fall. This is a really pretty take on it.
Evvie and Natty will be mine. I swear it. 😀
At first sight I thought this might be your avatar fall Creme shades but I really love them! Natty looks great, might be getting this one along with two of the Divas.

Much prefer these to the Diva collection. Love the grungy aspect that these have (comparatively). Always look forward to fall collections for the edge!
I like the Diva’s better.

Yea for a polish named Monica! I’m buying that just for the name alone 🙂 I love dusty cremes and these are fab. Probably gonna end up with most of these.
I’m curious how Natty would compare to MAC Blue India. Looking at your old swatch of Blue India, Natty looks a few shades darker, but similar undertones. Is that about accurate? Thanks!
Yes Natty is darker and maybe a little “murkier” than Blue India.
I would love to see a comparison of Rekha (red cream/almost jelly) with the red from the fall China Glaze collection. I am a red-a-holic…but this one is looking like a # of ’em I have already. However that said, the formula on the CG is beyond amazing. If I found an equal formula in this one, I will put it into my next order for Zoya.
I will get them all but maybe not Monica or Toni. I’m just thinking that I have those two shades already. I am one that loves murky darks.

This collection has some really great shades. There is something about Rekha that I really love. Strange as I always gravitate to blues/greens/purples.
Between Designer and Diva…Diva wins for me. Diva’s glowy shimmers and stunning sparkles coupled with the vibrant shades are incredibly gorgeous to me! When I first saw FeiFei my eyes felt like they popped out of their sockets, lol! AMAZING! 😀
