I had high hopes when I found this Revlon Colorstay Ultimate Liquid Lipstick in Prime Pink on sale at Rite Aid. Seemed like such a great deal and the color spoke to me.
A candy colored blue-based pink. They usually look good on me, and I tend to gravitate towards them. So I figured this one would be a no-brainer.
Prime Pink is a light/medium candy pink with shimmer. Um wait, that’s not really shimmer it’s more like frost. Yep frost. Aside from the frost the texture really is like a liquid lipstick. It feels thick and opaque like a lipstick, but is glossy and applied like a lip gloss. It does feel a little on the dry side which is weird for a liquid product. It also applied a little uneven, which might just be because of the finish. Unfortunately this color turned out to make me look exactly like a character most people do not aspire to look like…
Magda from There’s Something About Mary. Yeah, it’s nearly identical to what she’s wearing. If it wasn’t for that frosty finish, I would have liked this sucker.
I do love the 80’s but some things need to just stay there. 😉
Availability: If you wish to look like Magda for whatever reason, you can find this at Rite Aid.
Pricing: $10.99 regular, but I got it on sale for $6.59.
Have you tried any of these from Revlon before? Which shades do you like?
Note: Revlon is cruelty free.
