Have you ever heard of Lotus Herbals? Maybe so if you live in India!
My buddy Melissa from The Daily Nail happens to live there right now, and she was so sweet to send me a sampling of some products from there!
Lotus Herbals is made and sold in India and their products are inspired by Ayurveda, which is a 5,000 year old Hindu system of medicine, and alternative to traditional practices. They use herbs to protect and heal the skin and body. They don’t use chemical-based products or ones tested on animals.
They have all sorts of products for your face, skin and hair, but I’ve got a couple lip glosses and an eyeliner for ya.
Candy Floss, Cranberry Punch
Cranberry Punch, Candy Floss
Candy Floss, Cranberry Punch, Kajal
First off let’s talk about the Botanical Tinted Lip Glosses. They are infused with ingredients such as grape and jojoba, which make lips softer and feel moisturized. They have a really nice but strong perfumed flowery scent. Maybe the scent is Lotus flower? It smells familiar to me but I can’t put my finger on it. The texture of these are shimmery and glossy, but not sticky or too thick.
Candy Floss is a really pretty medium pink shimmer.
Cranberry Punch is a bright berry red shimmer.
The Natural Kajal is a deep black, and it’s super soft and easy to apply. It contains botanical extracts of camphor and almond oil which is supposed to help promote lash growth. It claims to be smudge-proof and long-lasting. I tried it on just my water-line recently and it actually didn’t last very long before wearing off. However, the waterline is trickier than a lid, so that’s not to say it won’t last longer on my eyelid. Love how soft and opaque it is, and it doesn’t tug on the skin at all.
I have no idea of you can get these items outside of India, so I apologize if I got anyone all excited and you can’t get your paws on it!
Thanks again Melissa!! 🙂
Note: Lotus Herbals is cruelty free.
