NYX Cosmetics recently came out with twenty-one new eyeshadows called Nude Matte Shadows.
These shadows are soft and easy to blend, and as the name implies, they have a matte finish.
Lap Dance, Underneathe It All, Confession
Birthday Suit, Skinny Dip, In The Buff
Lap Dance, Underneathe It All, Confession, Birthday Suit, Skinny Dip, In The Buff (over primer)
I did find the texture of these to be soft and mostly smooth, but also a bit chalky. Over a primer they have pretty good pigmentation though and come off even. A couple did seem to have a very slight “sheen” to them compared to others that looked truly matte.
Lap Dance is a very light yellow/nude shade that barely shows up on me because it matches my skin so well!
Underneathe It All is a medium, warm brown shade.
Confession is a deep forest green with a very slight sheen. Nice pigmentation and gorgeous color.
Birthday Suit is a very whitened pale pink. A bit chalky but pigmented.
Skinny Dip is a really pretty eggplant purple shade with slight sheen. I love this color also.
In The Buff is a deep navy blue. This one was on the patchy side and not as deeply pigmented.
Overall: I do like these shadows, but felt some were better than others. My favs of the ones I tried were Confession and Skinny Dip. Great for the price though!
Pricing: $4.49 for 0.056 oz.
SO how are you feeling about these matte shadows? Do you tend to use more matte or shimmery eyeshadows?
