This just in! Cos Bar lands at Target!
What in the world is Cos Bar you ask? So Target is doing this new thing where they are bringing popular small businesses into their stores for a limited time. It’s called “The Shops” at Target and Cos Bar is one of the brands being featured there now. Cos Bar is a beauty store in Aspen Colorado. At Target they are featuring some nail polishes, soaps, scrubs, lotions and body polishes.
Anyway, there are four shades of nail polish there now, and when I saw them, of course had to check them out!
A word about the names/bottles. The names are not anywhere on the bottles! I actually had to look them up online to find them out. And one of them seems very weirdly named for the color it actually is…
Lime Green is a bright yet sheer lime green shimmer. Very sheer – this is three coats and you can definitely still see the nail line. The formula was a wee bit streaky but more than anything too sheer for my tastes. Cool shade though.
Purple is a medium purple shimmer. This one too was very sheer, and even after three coats not opaque. This is one of those been there, done that shades we have seen a million times.
Copper is a bright ORANGE with heavy yellow shimmer. Why they named this Copper is beyond me. There is nothing copper-y about it. But it’s a beautiful hot orange and really great formula. Creamy, smooth and just two coats. Love it.
Bronze is a medium shimmery bronze/brown. This is also my Weekly Macro photo right now. It’s a nice warm shade and really great formula. Lots of shimmery red and gold in it. This was two coats.
Overall: I liked Copper and Bronze the most and think those are the only ones worth purchasing. They both had a really nice formula and good coverage. Please note, these are made in China so they are not cruelty free.
Pricing: $3.00 for 0.33 oz.
