Revlon ColorStay 16 Hour Eye Shadow quads are a new product and come in 16 different shade options.
All the quads are color coordinated, offering great colors and up to 16 hours of wearing time. As to that claim, honestly I never pay attention. I wear a shadow primer every single day I wear shadow, no matter what kind of shadow it is, so nearly all of them last my entire day anyway.
On the back of the quads they show you one way you can wear all the colors via a number system. The shadows don’t have individual names. I got a cool-toned quad called Inspired and a warmer one called Adventurous.

These shadow in the Inspired quad aren’t quite as soft as I would have hoped. They do feel a little harder and slightly gritty to the touch. But you do get really great payoff over a primer and they blend pretty nicely
The first color is a champagne/white shimmery shade, great for using as a highlight color.
The second shade is a light sky blue with silver micro-glitter.
The third shade is a deep navy blue with slight sheen.
The fourth is a pale lime green with micro-glitter.

I felt the same slight grittiness with the Adventurous palette as with Inspired, but the colors were even more pigmented.
The first shade is a yellow/white shade, almost with a duochrome feel to it.
The second is a deep saturated olive green with gold micro-shimmer.
The third is a deep chocolate brown matte.
The fourth is a medium muted copper/brown.
Overall:
I really like these and was impressed especially with Adventurous! The colors are nice, work well together, and even with the slight hard texture you get great color payoff.
Availability: Drugstores.
Pricing: $6-7 depending, and 0.16 oz.
Have you tried any of these yet? Do they look like something you would try out for the price?

I LOVE the second color of Adventurous, and all the colors in Inspired (just because those are colors I don’t yet own)! I’ve had really good experience with drugstore eyeshadows in general 🙂

Just found your site today! Love it so far, especially your cat!
I loved the old Revlon quads. Not sure if I’ll be buying any of the new ones based on the reviews I’ve seen. I’ll probably wait for a sale.
I like Inspired for the light blue and green shade and would buy it just for those :3
Oh man, if I see adventurous, it may be hard to pass up!

Kelly,
Could you do like an ‘eye of the day’ with these? I ask because a YouTuber I watch said she HATED these. That they were chalky and the color payoff wasn’t good. So I’m interested to see them actually on someone! 🙂
I’d love to try out Adventurous. Revlon is luckily soon going to be available here, I hope they’ll have these as well, I’d be all over it! 🙂

I love the look of the Adventurous palette, and in particular the smokey olive colour. I’ll probably be picking it up- for the price, it seems like a great deal.

I have been wanting for the longest to try out these shadows. They give the promise of a prestige eyeshadow and I really wanted to know how they compared…

That olive color alone makes me want Adventurous. I’ll have to keep my eye open.
I found mine for $5.00 at my local wallmart! They are a steal i will definetly be purchasing more i love the quaad i got in “sudiccive.” its a purple smokey quad! LOVE A+
I’m feeling pretty inspired by the Inspired palette!
I have enough shadows to last a few lifetimes. I do like that olive shade. I have about 8 Revlon shadow palettes. I forget if they’re 5 or 6 shadows. Probably have these type of shades in them.
I would definitely try Adventurous. I haven’t bought Revlon e/s in years but those are my kind of colors. Thanks for the swatches.
I got the Brazen quad, which is kind of coppery bronzes. I was really unimpressed. The colors were just kind of muddy and gritty.
