The Smashbox Be Discovered Eye Shadow Palette is new for spring 2012 and contains eight spring-like colors in a variety of finishes.
The palette comes in a sturdy and thick cardboard, that opens up to a large mirror and the shadows. No pesky inadequate brushes thrown in, which I like because I never use them anyway.
The colors inside remind me of Easter! Pretty, pale, pastel and delicate. One thing I didn’t love was that the shadow names aren’t on the palette itself. But that’s a small thing.
Clockwise: Bliss, Rosewater, Adobe Champagne
Clockwise: Opal, Mist, Pebble, Lilac
Bliss, Rosewater, Opal, Mist
Bliss is a pale matte vanilla color.
Rosewater is a pale shimmery pink.
Opal is a light opalescent pink/white shimmer.
Mist is a pale silvery taupe shimmer.
Adobe, Champagne, Pebble, Lilac
Adobe is a medium warm milk chocolate.
Champagne is a medium metallic peach/beige.
Pebble is a medium taupe brown matte.
Lilac is a medium shimmery lilac.
This is a nice palette and all the colors had good payoff, though half of them are very light colors. The texture of the shadows was really nice and soft and very easy to blend.
