Zoya Fleck Effect Mylar Fleck Topcoats are another new collection for spring 2012. Yay for more flake glitters!
This collection comes in three colors and work great when layered over other colors, such as the ones in their new True collection.
Maisie, Opal, Chloe
Chloe
Chloe has a pink tint and green and gold flake flecks. They change greenish also depending on the lighting. This was two coats.
Maisie
Maisie is a blue tint with green flecks that change to gold depending on lighting. This was two coats.
Opal
Opal is a green tint with green flakes. This changes to gold and purple depending on what it’s layered over. I feel this and Maisie are nearly identical when on the nail naked though…This was two coats.
Cho with Opal
Farah with Chloe
Bevin with Maisie
Skylar with Opal
Tru with Chloe
Lotus with Maisie
As you can see these create some really gorgeous effects when placed over certain colors. I especially love Skylar with Opal, Tru with Chlose and Lotus with Maisie.
Overall:
You know me, I looooove flake glitters! I do think that Maisie and Opal were too close in color though. I wish one of them had been a purple or blue flake rather than two different colored tints with the same green glitter inside.
Availability: January 13th on Zoya’s site.
Pricing: $8.00 each.
Will you be trying out these flake glitters? Which combo was your favorite?

These ARE really pretty, I’m glad to see so many companies embracing flakies finally! I have to agree I wish they’d done three different colored flakies, though. I think my favorite pairing is Bevin with Maisie!

“I’m glad to see so many companies embracing flakies finally!”
You read my mind! I just didn’t get it, the way that Hidden Treasure took off last year you would have thought the nail polish companies would have followed right behind with more flakies much sooner. Better late than never though, now everyone can have flakies instead of some being sad they missed out on Hidden Treasure.
I’m thinking I want to buy a couple of bottles and mix them together in another bottle so I get both the orange and green going on at the same time. I agree with Kelly that it would have been so cool if they had blue or purple flakies, better yet both!
These are pretty! I hope that flakies are the new crackle! I really like Bevin with Maisie and Tru with Chloe! Pure gorgeousness! <3
im not sure how i feel about this collection- i’m totally down with flakies but these don’t seem very exciting to me? im not sure why!
I feel the same way. Flakies are awesome, but these seem a little boring! They’re a little too subtle.
Pretty!

These are so pretty! I love all of these flake nail polishes coming out lately!
Very nice!!! The flakes just look so delicate. So perfect for Spring over some pastels probably. Happy New Year Kelly!

If my Sallies doesn’t get the Finger Paints FX collection in, then I might buy one or two of these. But I’m not really that impressed with them. I love Zoya, but I would rather have seen these in a clear base with a blue flakie, a green flakie, etc….
Must have all of these!!!!!

Well these just have to land in my collection. They are gorgeous!
It would be nice to see these over black if you could, please. 🙂
These are gorgeous, I love them. I like all the combos but Skyler with Opal may be my fave. I’m going to have to add these to my collection!
The flakies are nice, but I’m kind of underwhelmed. I was hoping for more oomph. :/

Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about. I will of COURSE be buying all three the day they go on sale. Woo! Flakies! Good ones! From Zoya! Thanks so much for swatching these – I had no idea this set was in the works!
I love flakies! Are there any dupes with the Finger Paints set?
I’m digging Chloe over Farah. The subtleness is calling me. I also like Maisie over Bevin.
2012-the year of the flakies.

I agree with you about those two flakies. Such a shame. Another shade would have been more welcome. I will order these. I’m happy to see that flakies will be making a strong appearance this year. I never seem to order any of the Nfu-Oh brand. Maybe now more companies will put out polishes like them.
These are too beautiful!
The pink on the purple is to die for!
I want them! I’d love to play with them to find the best combinations.
This whole collection is absolutely gorgeous and I want ALL of it! It comes out on my birthday so maybe… And I love every single one of the combos you did; I can’t pick just one! Happy New Year!!
I was wondering when Zoya would hop aboard the flakie train. Choo Choo for all things flakie glitter! Chloe is my fav so far.

2012 looks like it’s going to be the year of the Flakie! Hooray! I’m sooo glad to see these from Zoya (and the spring collection). I am counting down the days until these are available!
If they were in a clear base I would probably just get 2, but the colored base makes a difference when layering, so I’m getting all 3! And yay for zoya credit from spoons 😉

I’m not sure if I will. Unless I get my hands on the finger paints special effects then I def wont be trying out Zoya.

I suppose these would be great for people new to flakies, but I find them boring. Sad! I was so excited when I heard Zoya was releasing a flakie collection! They’re usually so daring! These feel very safe.
I have Nubar 2010 and all three Nails Inc. flakies, but I think I’m still getting these. I like Tru & Chloe…amazeballs.
These are pretty, but it seems like all the new ones are the same. I have a number of flakies from Nfu Oh, and I haven’t seen anything that looks different enough to purchase. They were the most beautiful polishes when I first saw them, but I’m almost getting a little bored these days. 🙁

I know I’m getting Tru from the True collection, but I can’t decide if I’d rather have Chloe or Opal. Maybe neither. We’ll see, I guess. 🙂
